wanting a better engine

just wanting a better engine for my 85 s10 blazer. any ideas on what to use? I've got a 2.8 Carb v6 and I'm thinking of either a 4.3 HO or a 305. any thoughts?

Put a blown 454. That would be sick. or a 572 blown even sicker
