"Good things take time to create," Unless you got a ton of time or a ton of money, if not welcome to the club. I been working on my f1 for 6 yrs and its still junk.
Hey CPT, if thats not the sickest f150 bed then i dont know what is. That truck is killer. Keep up the good work. And I know these things take time but the fact that I have never driven the car since i bought it completely stock 3 years ago just drives me nuts. I just wanna roll it and drag dody!!!
Some Day though.......
Dont give up on it, I know how you feel. I have been tring now for almost a year to get my painter to repaint my eclipse, with NO luck and have been trying to get the local kustom car guy to put bags on it, with NO luck. I bought a 240sx 3 months ago and have been working on it ever since. I only got to drag the 240 when I drove it home (alabama) from virginia, but I dragged the shit out of it, and that feeling helped me not give up. Also, truck and car show and the domination videos inspire me to not give up. Good Luck and if at all possible finish it, you will be so proud of yourself afterwards.
man i feel you on this bro. after cranking the caddy out from a junkyard to sema in just about a month i showed it for a few shows and runs and then at reso i drug through the tranny pan and the starter shield (which actually welded itself to the flywheel and subsequently did some additional damage). well, right after reso i pulled it into the driveway.....(last time it started on the old motor) and was going to change out the tranny pan, starter and flywheel....well........the parts for the caddy weren't the cheapest and are hard to get to say the least, so i ended up pulling the motor and trans, fabricating in a small block chevy 350 and 700r4 trans. while it was down i decided to do some other crap so i herculined the underbody and wheel wells, added a new steering column and steering wheel, por-15 the entire frame and engine compartment, re-did the entire stereo and video, changed out the bags, the valves, the compressor, relocated the air tank, went to an electric fuel pump, had the gas tank flushed then resealed added tons of stuff, re-wired the entire electrical system (no kits for those cars) and a ton of other crap like new wheels, tires etc, floormatts yada yada. well, working on it damn near everyday for 3-4 hours it still took nearly 6 months to get it back on the road. (that was with no new body work and the only exterior changes were an hid conversion and i had it pinstripped. then i had to get the new driveline made, new exhaust etc etc. point is, ittakes alot of time, alot of patience, alot of sweat, cuts, tears, a ton ofbitching from the significant other lol, missed meals, dr. pepper and red bulls to getit done. luckily i had a good dealof help on mine, but it still takes time. don'd get frustrated, and sinceit's in the build-up stage, the thing you can do is ensure everything is just right. that way, when you finally roll it.....it's tits! keep you're head up, keep on welding, cutting, bangingyour knuckles up and tryin to get greasen oilout of your fingernails for a little bit longer. when you're done, it'll be the most satisfying thing ever to have someone say "nice ride". Why? because your damn heart and soul went into that thing and someone recognized it. but, only you get to enjoy it.
I was the same way my ram stood for 2 yrs at my painters waiting to get painted i just lost intrest and got tired of putting money into it. But i have it back now and i want to have it ready for the Spring BReak Jam Show thats held down here in March im re baggin it so it can lay frame and hopefully gonna start the BD in a few weeks. Im doing as much work as i can myself so its takin a while. The way i got back into was looking thru the Ram owner profiles on here and that got me back into workin on it. It suxs that all my friends keep asking me when im gonna finish it but they never help out, lol.
