Anyone ever shaved handles and what not on a newer vette? I believe the bodies are SMC, ive had problems in the past using SMC materials (lines showing under paint, usually when in the hot sun). This is for a customers vehicle, so if i cant get a straight answer, im just going to tell him i dont want to do it because i dont want this one to bite me in the ass.

It can be done. I have a new model camaro. The only thing that is metal on my car is the rear fenders. The rest is SMC and some ABS. I have a list of body mods done to my car. We used fusor. I have had my car like this for almost 2 years. I haven't had any cracking or anything. I say go for it. As long as you have it blocked right. You won't see any lines. Make sure the fusor has fully cured and that you sand it really good before putting filler or top coat on top of it. Also it helps to put it in the heat before you do any finishing work. That way if the fusor is going to bubble or anything then it will do it then instead of after its finished. If it is done right then you have nothing to worry about. Go for it. Let me know if you need to know anything else about doing it??
