Yea the ED complete kit is a little more money up front, but its faster. it also depends on what PSI you wanna run too. Viair 450s are rated to 150 i believe, where the 380 is rated to 200. they also have the new 480, which fills faster than a 380 and i thin runs to 200 PSI as well.
If it helps, i started with 2 450s, but they took too long to fill up 10 gallon and i couldnt get the pressure i wanted, so i went to an Engine Driven with a 380 backup and i love it.

dunno, there are alot more then just the one i posted...here are links to an online auto part store

compressor:http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?mfrcode=EVP&mfrpartnumber=2042&parttype=387&ptset=Aclutch: v-belthttp://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?mfrcode=FAA&mfrpartnumber=48811&parttype=385&ptset=A

they have a serp clutch too.. but i dont remember the part # so youwould have to search for it. Also the cool thing about those yorks is, if you mount them upright they are self contained oiling system... so you just put oil in it and away you go (gotta check it from time to time)just like everything else

Hey, u can get the york 210 engine drivin compressers off of Volvos and jeeps, just go to an auto whrecker and pick one up for cheap, just custom make your own bracket, (this is if u have room, alot of my buddies are doin this including myself and it is so fast) but on my S10 i have a 4.3 vortec engine and i just don't have room, so i run a viair 450 into 1 6 gallon tank, it goes from 115 psi to 150 in about 2 minutes. engine driven is like 20 seconds so. If u have room go for the engine driven

pricey.....more than most complete kits alone, but hands down the fastest compressor (either engine or electric) is the Oasis. I have the xd2000 and it takes about 1 minute to go from 0 to 160 in a 7 gallon tank. It runs a little faster than advertised when you have plenty of power going to it. I have 3 yellow top optimas and dual alternators. all that isnt neccessary, except for the additional battery, but it is an amazingly quick unit, allows you to keep your a/c as well.
