How cool would it be in you could roll up to a show your trailer lays frame and you drive your baby right of the back no reason for ramps. has anyone ever atempted this?
well it would have to have some type of suspension in the front of the trailer with a pivot towards the center, in order to not use ramps that thing has to have some serious lift and even then the angle would be to steep to drive a bd'd ride off of, so it would have to be like a tow truck flatbed, andgling out and down in the back so, would be an expensive trailer, considering a hydraulic flatbed costs like 40k
acctually i am pretty sure some people have trailers that lay, i think they might be camper type things though.
yea, a tent terailer is a whole nother story. those are easy to lay, but i was just referring to the part where he stated that it would be cool to air out the trailer and take the truck off without ramps, thats a way bigger issue,
i know there is one in the works.. in TX.. not sayin who tho
It has been done, I remember seeing it in (I believe) Street Trucks. It was on some sort of cantilever setup and appeared to lay flat out.
I know that in the Auto Trader mags here in TX there is a company in Dallas that makes trailers with canti air ride already on them. But they are friggin expensive...like 5g's for just a 20 foor dove tail!! Plus hasn't Ekstensiv had an air ride kit for trailers for years??
Chris
im calling ekstensive.........on the one in the works
