I have a Chevy LUV that I got for $450... I haven't had too many problems with it, considering it is 25 years old...
But I have to drive 30 miles (round trip) to school 3 times a week, and my girlfriend lives about 20 miles (40 round trip) away also... So I decided to get a new truck, and with the Employee Pricing everyone is having it was a great time to buy one. I got a 2005 Ford Ranger, and it had 14 miles on it when I drove it off the lot (well my stepdad did because I'm 17, and my insurance wouldn't let me drive it). It now has 4000 miles on it, and I was driving down a road today when it decided to randomly die. I made it down the road becuse it was downhill but when I got the stop sign it went dead and wouldnt start. It turns over but I think its not getting gas (fuel pump?). So I got it towed to the Dealership (this was about 20 minutes ago). So now I have to wait to see what is wrong with it...
How does my Chevy LUV run longer with out breaking down than my new Ford?! AHHH!!!
Also another thing I noticed is how thin the sheetmetal is on this thing. I leaned up against the side of the bed, toward the rear, and it popped in (didn't dent it, it came out on its own as soon as I stopped leaning on it). Also when I'm loading my motorcycles I stand on the side of the rail and it will pop in the same way... Then my doors... I dont know about the passanger side, but the driver side doesn't line up completely. The front of it sticks out a little more then the fender and the back is in toward the cab more (maybe other way arond, but you get the point)
Sorry for the long post and bitch... Just thought it was a funny story.
welcome to the world of throw away cars!
hey man my brother had the same problem and also his back glass seal was busted from the factory so when it would rain it soaked everything he took it to the dealership and they tried screwing him over and now he got a lawyer and the filed a lemon law on it and won. so maybe you should look into that his was an 05 with 0 miles on it

We already had to do Lemon Law on my mom's brand new BMW like a year ago, the wiring harness went bad and there were a bunch more problems caused by that... So at least I know all the laws and stuff that apply. If things keep acting up, I'm for sure going to try that...

my 03 s10 did shit like that..It had 7miles on it when I bought it and I put 4 of the 7 miles the test drive. For the lemon law to take effect the same problem must occur 3times and the dealer not be able to fix it. I tryed to do it on my S-10 and I was close to it with the cooling system. But I sold it and got my 98 Tahoe with 120k on it and not a problem yet out of it.
