We started with a JVC mini dv that we got at Ultimate Electronics(where Nick and I worked) for $150 because it was like 2 years old and was a display model. We recently picked up a newer Panasonic Mini Dv camera for about the same price.



Both Cameras originally retail between $700-900.



The new camera is a 3ccd cam and the color is alot better than the jvc. Just about all of the footage in the next dvd "since we last spoke" is filmed with the newer panasonic.



But its not only in what you're filming with, but how you film with it. And most importantly HOW YOU USE THE FOOTAGE!



I'd love to get a really nice cam like a cannon GL2 or a panasonic AG-HVX200, but we're not totally rich ya know!

thanks for the info, i was just looking for a camera to shoot night/low light scenes and your preview didnt look bad at all for a 150 camera.
