I have the rear done, just have a few questions about the front. I am using 2x3 box tubing, have the pinch cut/bent up and am setting the new rear clip even with the front crossmember. Okay, 1.Do I need to lower the engine mounts to clear a b2600i hood? If so, how much is enough? 2. Do I need to shorten the steering shaft at all or will it suck in enough for the drop? and 3. I have my front bag mounts set almost even with the top of the frame, is this going to give me enough lift to untuck 225/40-18s? I am running airlift gen II bags. Thanks in advance.........

1) if you are using the stock carb/aircleaner, yes. Well, a qualifier: some people just cut the webbing under the hood and not the actual skin. But doing a SFBD, you are lowering the trans mount and inch (roughly) so lowering the motor a little will help, and keep a stock hood.

2)No.

3)Yes.

thanks russ.... i just cut the front core support/body mounts, after lowering everthing, i could tell the engine was going to need to be dropped. Now, the rod that runs underneath the oil pan is 1 1/2 inches from it. Will lowering the engine an inch be enough? I dont want to cut it too close. I see in your profile that you used the stock tranny mount. Did you cut it down any, I mocked it up and it seemed a tad close. Thanks for the help, I really do appreciate it.
