just looking for all your opinions on baggin a 4x4.
baggin a 4x4 for more lift or to lay out...if its for more lift at the flick of a switch...hell yeah but baggin a 4x4 to lay you are talking about one hell of a headache.
yea i mean lay out, heres a pic of the truck
noone seems to want a lifted truck and i dont have the money to buy a new truck and bag it so i figured why not just bag this one since i already have it. ya know just to go ot\ut and have fun draggin with, i guess since ive only bagged my accord and partially helped with my friends mazda i dont really understand the complication of baggin a 4x4. so im lookin to get some info....thanks ahead of time
it will cost more to bag that 4X to lay than to buy a 2wheel drive and bag it
build a frame....save the headaches!
i'm pretty sure that style has a straight axe front end. you would have to change over to independent front end. if you want to keep it, i would find a 2wd frame and swap it. you could bag it and do all the frame mods to it while you drive the 4wd. do the body drop when you swap it, and there you go.
theres more to it than just a frame swap.
u have a 4x4 gearbox and transfer case, the 2wd has a diff gearbox and mounts,
yeah get another beat up early 80 truck and use your 4x4 guards and bed on it, that would be so much easier.
i recently put 4x4 gear on my 82, works well
I dont see why you dont have the money to buy another truck. Just sell that one and buy a 2wd and you have a way better platform. I'm sure you could sell that and get a good truck to get started with.
Yager-
if it was a 4x4 s-10 blazer than youcould do it no problem but not a straight axle sell it and get a 2 wheel drive
