2.61 in greenville, nc. interesting side note independent truck drivers are going on strike because its not profitable to deliver the gas due to its prices they cant afford 300+ dolars every time they need to fill up. i think every one should just not go any where for 3 days no work nothing and see how much money the country loses and wee shouldnt go back till gas is 0.99 a gallon again
Yea its $2.50 here in western maryland and it goes up just about every two days just filled my s-10 up it took $28.00 TO FILL AND I GOT FN 9 gal. That sucks.
Its averaging around $2.60 a gallon for the cheap stuff in Orlando. My Tahoe stops at every gas station to fill up I spent $61 dollars last night to fill up. If I'm getting screwed can I least get some KY.
yeah its funny how prices go'n up and the major gas companies like Exon is still record profiting..... wtf is go'n on ? gets me to that the morons down here in the south complains bout gas prices, but they will not let anyone come off shores to drill for oil.
but for real.... does anyone see a break in gas in the future? i highly doubt it.... im starting to worry bout whats go'n to happen .. companies going under and etc, due to high gas prices... r we facing another depression? dyamn.. i worry tooo much.....
I say we are facing the end of the world, its written that the greatest country will fall and its happening,This is the revalations

i work in a gas station in missouri about ten miles off I-70 and it is 2.49.. however the price of a barrowl of oil has went down so it will probally go down but after labor day
I have read in on-line news that we have more than enough oil in reserve, I am not a big GOV. cospeirence person or however you spell it but isn't bush still head of one of the more major oil companies in america?
We live in the greatest country in the world and like I said I have nothing against them but man, prices are high.
The profit of the oil companies is all in PERCENTAGES, so naturally they're going to make more money when oil prices go up.
....and the cost of REFINING oil goes up....
....and the price of gasoline goes up......
They take a cut of that, a certain PERCENTAGE. And the higher the price, the higher their cut.
So, naturally, when the prices go up, so do their profits.
If we'd start using more alternative fuels, like ethanol, it would put more pressure on the oil companies to keep the prices down....and they'd negotiate harder with OPEC.
Thankfully my "SUV" has a 9 gallon tank.
