Im getting ready to order a welder and im looking at the Hobart 180 and want to see what you guys think. This will be my first welder and I want to be able to do body and frame work . Welder

I have a hobart 175, same thing as your 180 cept the 180 is hte newer model, I love it. Definately get a 220v if u have the hook up, so I say go for it

i have miller new dvi welder i love it, it will do 110 and 220 so u have your choice i have used a hobart 175 they are nice also. not sure on the price difference between the hobart and the miller. but they are nice welders

well whoever makes miller, forgot the name at the moment, makes hobart as well, my hobart has a miller gun, millers just are kinda like the caddilacs where as the hobarts are the chevys

get one there great i also have the 180 and the 140 both of them are nice and yes both of mine do have miller guns there nice and for the price they cant be beaten

I have a 175. Nice machine. You could probably find the 175 cheaper because it's the older modle. The 180 isn't rated for anything thicker then the 175, but it can do sheet metal better. That's what I heard anyways.

I have a Hobart 135 that Ive had since 97, its a 110 and i built my entire frame with it. the frame is the air tank and it works great.... till you drag thru it. but the welder still works great.
