air supply P.S.I

ok i brought up the other air supply topic up and everyony told me to run a 450 viar compressor with a 175 p.s.i swithch but i was looking at the compressores and they say that the 450 compresores have a max p.S.I of 150.....so how does that work doesnt that mean that the max psi that iam going to get is 150

thats what the manfacturer rec. but you can run higher,
