ok heres the thing...my a/c worked fine until i took my truck to the bodyshop to get it painted. Now the a/c hasnt worked since. The clutch won't engage to tell the compressor to kick in. All it does is blow air like the vent is on. I found a plug that is really clean like it WAS plugged into something. Bad part is, i can't figure out wtf it plugs into because the slack on the wire only goes about 5 inches in each direction and there is nothing there to plug it into. I checked all the fuses and they are fine. Will autozone check it even if your check engine light isnt on? Could somebody please help me out here i really want to drive my truck but it's pretty hard with a temp of 98 degrees and a heat and humidity index of 115%...way too damn hot to roll down windows

heres a pic of the plug i'm talkin about

well its full of freon because my dad checked it...we unplugged the wire going into the compressor and put a test light on it, and its getting no juice. So now i know its something keeping the compressor from getting power and its not just the clutch. My dad took some aligator clips and hooked one end on the battery and the other end on the compressor and it kicked on fine just the way it was meant to. So the compressor isnt bad. Not sure where else to check if the switch in the dash isn't unplugged

well i'm really pissed now...i took my truck to a guy that is good with a/c but said he couldnt get to my truck til next week. I was wanting to go to the pigeon forge show tomorrow in my truck but it doesnt look like its going to happen so thats a bummer. anyway the guy i took it to said to take off the low pressure switch off the back of the compressor and jump the circuit with a paper clip to cause the compressor clutch to engage. then he said while doing that, fill it up with a recharge kit like you would get from autozone. so i did that too and when i plugged in the kit, the guage was in the yellow which meant alert so i guess it has to much in it. good part is, my clutch stays on and engages fine so i know its not that. all it wants to do right now is blow air (well hot air because its like 98 degrees outide). my brother said he thinks it has to much freon and to drain it out and put new in it. does this sound logical?
