Building A Stock Motor

Hey, instead of going through the headache of doing a swap and having air ride with a B/D I just want to build a "built hahah" stock motor. What can I all do? Header, carb, Cam??, is there any other options. I basically just have a motor going bad and want to free up some room under the hood. What is it with the turbo? Is this an easy mod and what model and year of car do they come off of?
