My homies got a 70 caddy bagged on 20's, but it needs shocks. I know it's not a yota, or a truck, but I'm wondering if there is anything crazy or special to know about mounting shock tabs and stuff. Front or back of tire, any angles to be wary of, how to determine shock size, stuff like that. Any help would be great. I've replaced em, but never had to actually mount them. Thanks guys.
I did a 66. If the suspension is still the same on a 70, it's basically a Toyota. They use the exact same style, strut rod and all.
Cool. Is there any advantage to mounting shocks in front or behind the tire? And what angle should be used, or is straight vertical recommended? Thanks.
Straight up and down is most effective for the shock. I try not to lean them past 15 degrees.
Put the shock on the opposite side of the tie rod. Less chance of interference.
Awesome Seth...thanks man.
