nissan hardbody stock shocks

ive heard that stock hardbody shocks get alot of travel adn compresion so ppl use them on their bagged trucks. i was wondering if any of yall run these and if so what year nissan do u get them off of. its goin on a 94 ranger on the notch setup. i know most of them are the same but im kinda sketchy about gettin some, just want to make sure they fit, and actually work. thanks in advance fellas...peace
