what sive of square tubing works best to make a notch. 2x3 or 2x4? And what angles too?

i would say 2x3.. and i think it's a lot smarter to use square tubing.. just so much stronger.

I would usually say use box tubing (2x3) but since the frame is already boxed back there you may find it easier to use the plate notch kit.

Im sorry, thats what I meant box tubing. my bad... So its best to use 2x3? why not 2x4?

everyone i have seen uses 2X3 that is what i am going to use on my yota. I guess 2X3 would be strong enough 2X4 would be over kill maybe?? I dunno

I would suggest 2x3 for a toyota. something like a chevy would probably need 2x4.

i use 2x3. 2x4 is a little overkill... even though i like overkill but that seems too much

cool guys thanks. Im gona go buy some tomorrow. What about the angles for the notch?

60* is what i use

2x3 because its a mini. Its about the same height as the frame in that area. 2x4 just looks big and out of place.

I make 34 degree cuts, for a total of 68 degrees. Thats what I like best.
