s-10 ignition switch and turn signal issue

My ignition switch is shot in my truck both keys for the truck look fine but they practically fall out of the switch going down the road. Im going to change the switch soon anybody got any pointers on doing this? Also my turn signal doesnt cut itself off any more when i turn left. is this something i could easily fix while i have the steering wheel pulled to do the switch change?
