Spindles or lower control arms?

What is a better way to lower the front of an 88 toyota truck. I am wanting to do a 3" front drop and 4" rear drop. I have seen both items for sale just wondering which one would be better. With the spindles I would lower the torsions to get the extra inch to get a 3" drop Thanks
