Took the bed back off today, to start bagging the back. Got my notch saturday night. Have slam specialties he 400 psi bags on the way, and asco nickel plated 1/2 valves all coming fri or saturday. Bought a new lincoln electric welder this morning. Just waiting to borrow a sawzall from a friend, to cut out one of the xmembers. Here's a few pics of it lowered that I never posted.

You're not going to want the jackstands behind the axle when you do the notch.

They are holding the axle up. I got the round xmember cut out and i'm gonna move it forward like 2 inches and just mount it on the opposite side of the gas tank bracket. Hoping to get atleast one side done tomarrow.

Frame will bend when you cut the center out for the notch.

I would build a new crossmember completely, rather than moving the stock one. Just use some tube and make on on the top of the notch.

I don't like the stock one, its ugly. Kinks and stuff. I'm saying to vut it out an put one on top of the notch. Or in the top area. Thats where it wil be most efective.

Well i'm moving the stock one b/c it's in the way of the notch. And i'm just gonna do a beefy bridge.

I mainly need it to hold up the gas tank, and the brackets for the muffler.
