Four Link Angles?

Sup All, Just after some help in the right direction of 4 links. Below is a pic of SUPERSTYLIN'S HILUX X-CAB 4 LINK -and as you can see he's upper bar's are from diff to side chassis rails however in the pic below of TONKA'S HILUX X-CAB 4 LINK - as you can see he's upper bar's are from diff to cross member! Is this a case of personal preference or are applications the most practical for each setup? ie. Bag over Diff / Bag Over Four Link
