Trailing arm rear suspension

Is anyone running a trailing arm setup like the ones used on the 60-63? GM trucks? I know they also use them on NASCAR, but I haven't seen anyone run it on a bagged vehicle. It seems that it would be easier than a 4 link, and take up less space. Thanks.
