"Z"ing the frame?

my BD is just under 3 inch, and if i didnt Z the frame like i dide, it would sit up in the front, and mine lays rocker, i only Zed it to get the chassis flat, then BD to the rocker, from memory, it was 1.5 icnh Z on a virgin xmember
