Hood latch support bracket

hey guys, I am having trouble with my hood latch bracket, I got a new one from the dealer about 3 weeks ago, installed it and everything was working great.

now the hood has become harder and harder to shut, the bracket it getting bend and looks like it will brake.


I there anything I can do to stop this from happening? some kind of reinforcement to the bracket? pretty cheap little piece to be supporting the hood latch...........

there should be a peice of metal that goes from the latch down the front of the core support that supports the latch up when you shut the hood... i lost one at one point and i remember having to slam the hell out of my hood to get it to latch closed. just grap a peice of flat stock and drill a hole in each side and bolt it on.

I do have the stock one in place but its beginning to bend, the flat stock idea sounds good. The OEM bracket is made of paper thin metal...... BOOOO
