monoleaf on a 78 c-10 long bed

just a question but would a monoleaf break on a 78 c-10 long bed i wanna get the back of my truck ready for bags since the front is done and i wanna lay the back out so i can weld up my step notch maybe drive it for a month or so till i build a 2 link and pan hard. whats the vedict.
