Fuel Pump won't work

The fuel pump is still good i hot wired it and tested it. the truck is an 01 4.7 auto.
the power wire that turns the pump on is grounded....but there's not short any where that i could find.
the relay doesn't kick on....checked it with a test light no power is getting the the relay.
Engine turns over wants to start but is not getting any fuel.
Just got done with a stock floor body drop...and everything in front of the engine was removed...any suggestions?
