removing silverado steering wheel

I've got a '97 1500 w/airbag steering wheel; I'm going to take off and put my budnick wheel on.....do I gotta drill out all the rivets on the wheel to get the cover off to access some kinda bolts to get the thing off, or will it come off in one piece????? the bags good...i already disconnected it..... and removed column covers.....and cover on back of steering wheel.....just wanted info, b4 i drill out all those rivets on horn/bag cover.......
