best place to mount tweeters in compontnets

I was thinking about getting a 6 1/2" component set, I would like to use the stock location for the mid, where would be the best place to put the tweeter? would they sound good if i made a spot for them next to the mid in the door panel or possibly up higher like on the mirror covers by the dash???
