Welding shocks onto 4link bottom bars.

well im kinda running outa room to locate my shocks in the back. Has anyone welded there shocks to their 4link bars? Is this a stupid idea? I have no idea, i thought ide ask before possibly planning it. My 4link kit is from FBI, there the 1" bars with rod ends, not heim joints.
