Cantilever parrallel 4 link

I have a parrellel 4 link and was wondering if i could change it to a cantilever with the bags mounted on the 4 link bars.I was wondering if i would need to change to ladder bars because im not sure if the 4 link will hold up or if it would bend at the bag mount from all the weight resting on it.
