Good answer. Convertibles suck. Especially permanent ones.

Disclaimer: I can say this because I have one.

Do you have a permanent one or a rag top?
I used to have a mustang, the crappy body style, and it got cut into with a knife while it was sitting in a parking lot. I paid $500 for a new top then sold the whole thing like 6 months later for $500.

Yeah. lol. I remeber when we brought that mustang home, my uncle gave it to us but we had to go to his hounse in frisco to get it. It was hella cold that night and the top was stuck down, my dad drove 3 hours home with the heater blasting and i was sunk down below the dash in the front seat trying to get out of the wind.

Today I bought and installed new valve cover gasket and those half moon thingys. Also new dist. cap, rotor, plugs, wires 'cause they were all aftermarket crap. Also a few other things, should have paid around $210 but they gave it to me for about $130. I'll put some pix up tommorrow.

Still waiting for the freakin' carb!!!

I got ti in the winter. The hinges hadn't sheared off yet. But it still leaked everywhere possible. The seatbelt and floor was always soaked. No wonder the floorboards are gone.

If that isn't the truth, I was well under budget on my ride until I got to the little shit. $50 here $75 there. Fittings are outragous these days. I tallied up what I have in fittings and its close to $250 and thats getting it from SD with a damn good price break.

Yeah I always forget about fittings. Give yourself roughly $300 to spend on fittings. You'll blow it all.

I have heard of people using cut up shingles (the part without the grit) and spray adhesive for sound, temperature deadening. Truck cleaned up pretty well! Somebody has to save the classics! Thanks.
