F150 Problem

went to hop in my truck and cruise today and when i turned the key, nothing. its not a dead battery because the compressor and stereo still turn on (i have them wired directly to the battery).

headlights, interior lights, power windows and seats do not work... when i turn the key there is nothing there, it doesnt try to turn over, nooothing. has anyone had this problem? if so what the fuck is it? its a 98 f150...
