Windshield

Just out of curiosity guys, my one buddy brought up to me that im gonna have to get a new windshield when I bag my truck because the suspension will crack a heat treated stock windshield, is this true and did you guys keep your stock windshields in your trucks. Its a 88 S10 by the way, if that helps any. THanks guys
