Drive Shaft Pinion Angle HELP!

whats up guys i gotta 01 gmc sierra i think i have the pinion angle right but when i lay it low in the rear and have the front up the driver shaft hits the gas tank crossmember is that normal and i need to notch the crossmember? or do i have the pinion angle off?
