Toyota Crossmember??

On my 93 toyota pickup, theres a bolt on round tubing crossmember, maybe 1" in diamter running across the front framerails, its not holding anything up but its going to be something that hits before the frame once i get it laid out all the way, would it hurt anything to remove it?
