HELP with S10

Well heres my problem..well i try to crank the trk.. Is like its turnin over but not firein. I think mayb its the fuel pump? BUT i have a 93 gas tank on a 97 s10.. So which fuel pump do i use. IF thats the problem. the 97 is about $300 and the 93 is about $30.. SO could help me out a lil...thanks
