Steering Columns

Will a tilt steering column work in a 89-94 that has a non tilt column? I know the ex cabs and 4 runners came with them. Wondering if it is just all plug n play. I need one either way just thought tilt would be nice.

Yes. Tilt was an option on our trucks, so I'd just make sure to use the entire tilt column, from the steering box to the steering wheel. And you'll need to use the plastic column cover too. Maybe do a tech write-up with pics for everyone?

Could definitely do a tech writeup on it. I just need to locate a full column. I have to switch the whole thing anyway. Ignition is useless and the wiper switch is broke. I'm in Tn if you know where one is. None of the std cabs came with tilt though right?

I have seen a standard-cab factory SR5 with tilt wheel. It was an 89, or 90. I had parts from it on my truck for years. Not tilt though.
