Ok. I have a 1992 Toyo Pickup. Basic truck. No power steering, no AC, etc.

I just recently got done bagging it. Wired everything up right and how it should be done. Hook the compressors up. The truck sputters and check the fuel pump and find out the ground on the fuel pump is getting melting hot. Ive checked all my grounds on the bed, relays, and compressors and everythings done right. Ive ran out of ideas.

To be clear, i have all my grounds on shiny metal. The bed is grounded to the frame itself. Only other thing I could think of it being is a ground under the hood somewhere.

Compressors are Dual 400C Viairs.

trace the wires back to the relay and fuse box,is the pos wire hot also? if you cut the wirring check to see that the pos. didn't get hooked back up as the ground, retrace your steps-if it worked fine before, check everything you've altered since.maybe something to do with the relay going out,if it went out stuck open,it may cause the heat build up,that or pos on neg.

Never hurts to take your wiring harnesses apart and clean em out. That was the culprit on my taco. Thought it was grounding, fuel pump, relay wiring, you name it. It was a dirty wiring harness under the driver seat.
