pumps problems

i have 2 380c viair pumps mounted sideways on the very rear of my frame. ran both threw a CB straight to the battary. i have a high output alt and a yellow top battary. the power wires is 10 gauge from battary to pump but the wire is very very long. i have had 450 pumps before and i blew 4 of them. i am only on 10 gallons of air and i cant get over 130 without it running for 20mins. i have alot of electrical in my car big tvs huge stereo with cap. should i get another yellow top and put it in the bed? this way the power wires is alot shorter?
