getting it off my chest.. yea its a book

So im in the middle of pulling the head my 91 22re extra cab yota pickup and that "secret" allen head bolt that goes thru the t-stat housing and holds the intake manifold on gave me HELL. I was trying to take it off as 1 peice and the angle to get the allen in there was too much so i stripped it. so i get one of those thingy's that is supposed take it out and i drill the middle of it and tap the remover in the bolt and go to loosen it and it snaps off in the bolt. beautiful. that forces me to split the intake and pull the injector rail and take mini vise grips and squeeze like hell to finally after about 4 days off and on of just trying for that bolt i got it today im gunna have a talk with toyota about this b/s bolt! hahahahaha alrighty then

I haven't had anything like that happen with my Yota (knock on wood) but with Rangers yes! Lots of times

^^^ hey now thats not good to hear. lol. i just bought a 92 ranger a few months ago with a 2.3l. its a gutless wonder but i like it. its got a/c.

^^Oh that's a solid motor! You shouldn't have anything to worry about. I have one in my parts hauler right now with about 220,000 miles. If it ever gives you trouble though let me know.

Oh don't you love when you try to go up a hill your a/c turns off

just got everything disconnected and now the head is ready to get yanked...that was a mission...somtimes i wish it was a 22r instead of 22re....hoses everywhere...lol
