Need to talk to a hydro master/what is needed for an s10

First off, I need to talk to someone who knows more than "Which pumps are better" and stuff. I need to talk to someone who can explain EXACTLY what is going on when you hit the switches. I don't know anything about hydros but I imagine a switch turns on a pump, which pumps hydraulic fluid to the "can".

Also, can someoen tell me waht I need to put hydraulics on all four corners of a 1999 s10? I need to know EVERYTHING I need to make a decent hydraulic setup. Even the switchbox, to any sort of mounts I need.
