was looking through this months MT mag and seen the dime project was using one of these "ready to go" plug n' play setups. they look almost too good to be true as far as what they include and what it is....... are these things worth it for a first timer like myself?? what do you guys think? here are the links to a couple of what im talking about....

Yea, I haven't heard many good things about A.I.M. either. As far as the kits, the idea of it sounds good but I've never used one so I wouldn't know

every one bad mouths chassis tech/ AIM.. only bad thing ive heard about them is thier old valves aparently wernt very good...but we dont get much CT stuff in australia.

as for the kit, i wouldnt go out my way to buy a plug and play, ive only set up one air bagged vehicle and thats my truck. it wasnt very difficult to wire up the valves and guages

Its not that difficult to set up an air supply system, just ask us if you've got questions. As for aim, their quality is like you'de equate to chinese products, hit or miss pretty much. Most complaints stem from their non-existant customer service. If it were up to me, I would not buy from that company.

thanks guys...... its not the complexity of the installment.... it was more the convenience of having everything there that made me wonder. i beleive i can do the install..... it just "seemed" like a good idea. question was if it was actually worth it.

ill just peice mine together and know what i have is good quality stuff.

another thing to think about when using a plug n play system it, what if your compressor goes out or a valve goes bad? then you've gotta tear into that thing and there's no telling how they've got it wired up from the factory. At least if you put your own together then you will know how everything went together so therefore you will know how it will have to come apart.

yea, thats the main thing i wondered about it.... at least with a full on custom application i know whats in it and where to get parts for it..... not to mention the weird manifold they have set up for it. its just a bit too convenient...... who knows, it may be a good idea but i dont think its for me.
