here is my scenario..i plan on buying these 18s real soon..and the size of the 18s are a staggered fitment. +35 offset 18x8 and 18x9 wheels. on the 18x9 wheels...what is the 'shortest wide' tire i can get? 225? 235?

i plan on going with a 35 series tire because my truck doesnt have much clearance..so a 40series is out of the question. i wanted to do 215/35s up front and 225/35s in the rear, is that safe?

PS just for looks this i what i'm planning on getting..just need direction in tire size

man i would not run that narrow of a tire and that big of a wheel. I had a 245 on a 17 inch wheel with a high positive offset and had no rub issues. You got to figure you can at least go to the edge of your wheel with the tire.

i've pretty much ruled out 215s..i pretty much copy and pasted this thread from another one i made tryna figure out what i can run...i'm suppose to run 235/40 tires..i dont think the 235 will give me an issue..but i know the 40series will the tire height is 25.1" and as low as my truck is..i'm gona have some issues..i'm pretty sure..i really want 35 series for clearance issues.

how much is your truck dropped? I am running a 20x7.5 with a 245/35/20 and had no issues in the rear but did have some issues with rub in the front. My truck is slammed down to half a bump stop

2" drop spindles on the front..untouched torsion bars and 3" blocks in the rear with removed mid spring...the front is where i'm going to have the most issues..right now i have 16s (205/50/16) and everytime i hit a bump..i rub my fender...not bad, but its enough where if i hit a bump hard enough..ill see a puff of smoke.

Are you sure that puff of smoke is coming from the tires??

a 225 won't fit. a 235 could be squeezed on (but hard to find in a 35 series). but a 245 would probably fit the best on a 9"wide wheel and they are easier to come by in a 35 series.

dosnt nitto make a 555 in that series? damn man i am smashed way down and running 20s with no issues. Maybe you should chop out your fenders its really easy and cheap
