what do you guys do to fit the center caps on your front wheels. that round thing in the center of the rotor sticks out like an inch past where my center caps need to go. what is that thing and why is it there anyway, because the back wheels don't have that problem.
they are grease caps.... as your wheel spins the cintrifical force will sling the bearing grease everywhere. some people take it off.... personally i wouldnt.
yea i don't think i want to remove them. can you grind it down any, or am i stuck without center caps? wheels that i have had in the past have convex caps that fit over the grease cap, the wheels i have now have flat center caps. im sure someone else has had this problem.
you might be able to beat the cap in a little bit but that might not be enough clearance. its a typical problem with fwd wheels. the wheels i have on my truck dont have that problem, however i have a buddy who does. he took the center cap off...
well, i guess i could just paint it silver or something. thats kinda ghetto though, but i guess i don't have a choice. would there be any problems painting it, like does any grease get on the outside of the cap? or is it just metal?
ITS THIN METAL I HAD A SET OF WHEELS LIKE THAT AND I TOOK A HAMMER AND BEAT MINE IN. THERES A LITTLE WAYS TO THE CASTLE NUT IN THERE
if the wheel backspacing is deep enough, you can also run a spacer. that's what i did
just put a friggin coke can on it lol
