i have an 88 and the ac compressor i found is an 87 it has a v belt and the pully for it on my crank is serpintine can i swap out my crank pully?

yes, toyota made several different crank pulleys for the 22r series motors. You maybe able to find another compressor that has the s belt pulley and swap it.
