comitting suicide on 97 F/S chevy

I want to try to do suicide doors myself. i've never done anything like this before. i don't know if it would be better to pay someone like 1000 bucks to do it or buy a kit and try myself. if anyone has done this themselves, let me know the easiest/best kit. thanks
