Sleeve bag questions?

I just got 4 bags in a kit and 2 of them are the normal bags and then the back bags are the sleeve style bags. i'm making my own linkage in the back and i was wondering if the sleeves have to expand and colapse vertically, cause if you look at the diagram that i made, that's the set up i was making but i was told that i couldn't with those back cause when they colapse they will buckel sideways. how can i make this set-up work with these bags? the only point on my 2 link is on the frame and the axle is U-bolted to the linkage. will i have to move the bags somewhere else or come up with a whole new set up? thanks
