S10 Laying crossmember on 20's CLUTCH HELP

Hey i got my 98 sonoma to lay front crossmemeber on 20's but prob is it's a 4cl with a stick and i'm curious what to do with the clutch cylinder thingy. I was figuring recessing it in and shortening the rod to it but what really are my options.
