need help with set up

I have a 88 s-10 that has a 3.5 body drop and air ride.The front control arms are stock and i would like to put a new set on it.The ony lower arms i can find are a 3" drop arm.Can i put a drop arm on a truck with a body drop or will it set to low.thanks i am new to all this
