Is it normal for 20%duty firestone comps to run so hott as to melt anything touching them?
All my wires are correct size EXCEPT the 12v+ going from battery to relay. That is 14gauge. I think I need 10gauge.
I use a relay and 120psi switch. Would switching to a 175psi switch make things worse? I need to fix this before I start a fire. My comps are 1" away from my carpeted trunk walls. Should I wire cooling fans to blow them from behind? The comps are hidden so it'll never be seen.
